Who Can Join
NYM Federal Credit Union is operated solely for the benefit of our membership who share a common bond through New York Methodist Hospital.
Membership is open to the employees of New York Methodist Hospital and their immediate family members. Immediate family members include step-relations and adoptive relationships. They include spouse, parent, grandparent, child, and sibling.
Members of some select employee groups affiliated with the Hospital are also eligible for membership. Please contact us for an up-to-date list of eligible employee groups.
How to Join
You must complete an application for membership and provide proof of eligibility of membership as well as a current government-issued identification. You must keep $5 in your account at all times. Customer Identification Procedure
As of 1 October 2003, U.S. federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
